Re: Ovocular ?

Here why the visit to rare species habitat is necessary ? Why the normal birds cannot be watched by this new device ? the denouement of the argument contains the following: use Avian Oculars on your next bird watching excursion, and see some of the world’s rarest species in all of their beautiful p...

Re: In the number 1.4ab5

Hi, Looking at this question type, I had a doubt: When I look at certain GMAT problems that require rounding-off of the numbers, I notice a slight discrepancy: In GMAT problems, when 0.225 is rounded-off to the nearest hundredth, will it be 0.23 or 0.22?? I ask this because in one particular problem...

How do we approach these kind of problems - where do we start, what numbers should we plug in, how do we eliminate the incorrect options, etc ?? ...

Re: MGMAT Quant test #4 not as adaptive as the first 3...?

That is a very good point raised by Dimitrios. I observed a similar pattern in my MGMAT test #5 today. I felt I had done badly in the Quant part, because the difficulty level of the questions never seemed to increase, as compared to the previous tests. My Quant performance was below my usual standar...

Re: The amount of car accidents

The present perfect "has been relaxed" is used when there is a past action that is still ongoing. Although the regulations are still relaxed, the time when this relaxation took place was a singular point in the past. Therefore, it should be in the simple past tense, "were relaxed.&qu...

Re: CAT 4: Concord staked its claim

I have another question regarding the same RC passage: The primary purpose of this passage is to A. argue that religious and political freedom in Concord was beneficial to the city’s economic development B. depict the lifestyle of Concord’s elite citizens during the 19th century C. argue that social...

Re:

This sentence brings up a good point to remember: there are often differences (especially as questions get harder) that are not based on hard and fast rules. The differences are there to get us to waste our time. Deal with all hard and fast rules first. If you can deal with all of those, you will g...

Re: MGMAT CAT 5 CR Question

Hi Stacey, I had a doubt here. First of all, don't you think ans choice E is too much of a generalisation - especially with the extreme word "always"? The fact that the body's immune system is not able to recognise this particular protein does not necessarily translate to a generalisation ...

Re: Zoo's Lions

I was stuck between 2 ans choices - B and C; ended up picking the wrong ans option B. When I read the explanation, it is only said that B has more wordy phrases. Can someone please describe more in detail as how to differentiate between B and C. I am sure there must be more differentiating factors t...
