which of the following is equal to the value of

1. which of the following is equal to the value of 2^5 + 2^5 + 3^5 + 3^5 + 3^5? a. 5^6 b. 13^5 c. 2^6 + 3^6 d. 2^7 + 3^8 e. 4^5 + 9^5 I'm having issues figuring out how to combine these exponents since it says in the number properties guide that exponents can not be combined when they're being added...

Thanks for the response. So, just to be clear, you're also saying 4^3 + 4^3 4^3 + 4^3 can be simplified to 4 * (4^3) = 4^4 right?

O.k, so then, what would 4^5 + 4^5 + 4^5 be? Or is can that NOT be simplified further?

From what I remember from the number properties guide, you CAN NOT split up roots when adding them. I think the furthest you can go with this problem is root 32.

Which of the following is closest to the value of

Does anyone know of a quick and effective way to solve/estimate this? Came across it in prep test 1.

Which of the following is closest to the value of 999/(100+1/999)?

a. 10
b. 1
c. 0.1
d. 0.01
e. 0.001

Is this a question or are you answering it?

Statement 2 doesn't give you a the X intercept-- it only tells you that the x intercept is greater than 1. It could be any number greater than 1.
