I think the very fact that the diagram in the Q has x-axis and y-axis passing through O makes it sufficient enough for us to conclude (or assume) that point O infact is that origin of the co-ordinate system. I am assuming that you mean sqrt((0-s)^2 + (0 - t)^2) = 4 what do m1 and m2 represent?? And I still do not understand how you got t/s = 1. Can you please explain? putting values of m1 & m2 as mentioned by srinu84us into m1*m2=-1, you'll get t = s * (sqrt(3)) Put this back into t^2 + s^2 = 4 and...

From 1:
(2^2 * 5^2)^x = 2^y * 5^z
==> 2^2x * 5^2x = 2^y * 5^z
==> 2x=y & 2x=z
==> y-z = 0.
So, (1) is sufficient.

From 2:
(2 * 5)^y = (2^2 * 5)^x * 5^z+1
==> 2^y * 5^y = 2^2x * 5^x+z+1
==> y=2x & y=x+z+1
This cannot be solved further. So, (2) is not sufficient.

Hence, (A).

Even if b cannot be zero, 'a' could still be zero. And hence, (a) CAN be Zero. That leaves with (e) as the correct option.
