The length of minor arc AB is twice the length....

Hi, Not posting the diagram here cause I am not sure how to. The problem states that The length of minor arc AB is twice the length of minor arc BC and the length of major arc AC is three times the length of minor arc AB. What is the measure of angle BCA? It seems to me that the bolded portion must ...

Re: In a single row of yellow, green and red colored tiles....

I think I have seen such a question on a kaplan test. However, don't quote me on that. I could have seen it somehwere else.. :-) Why cant this be a gmat question? You would really have stretch your thinking and spend time to test all cases before selecting E. (The answer is E right?) Hi Sharath, Ye...

Re: Recently mary gave a birthday party for her daughter...

Here's the text of the original question, so people won't have to go back and forth between posts: Recently Mary gave a birthday party for her daughter at which she served both chocolate and strawberry ice cream. There were 8 boys who had chocolate ice cream, and nine girls who had strawberry. Ever...

Re: The length of minor arc AB is twice the length....

Thanks for the link to the diagram. I misunderstood the question. I was assuming angle BCA was referring to the angle subtended by the arc BCA at the center of the circle. Didn't realize the diagram was referring to a triangle. With all the calculations remaining the same as my previous post, angle...

Are x and y both positive? (1) 2x - 2y = 1 (2) x/y > 1 I quickly eliminated A and B since neither statement alone is sufficient but I am having a hard time setting up a methodical way to prove that together they are sufficient (the correct answer). Thanks! Arielle Hi Areille, I hope this can hel...

Re: porbability

The ANS is (E) Aren't the statements contradicting each other?: .. What am I missing? From the question we know that: w/25 + 5/25 - w/25*5/25 = ? (DeMorgan's Law) In other words we just have to find the number of white balls in the box Statement 1 w/25*5/25 = 0 ... Thus w = 0 Statement 2 w/25 - 5/2...
