BIO

Elaine graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and has been a teacher and tutor for over twenty years, specializing in test prep (GMAT in particular). She’s done this job for so long because there is no better feeling than when a student says, “Oh wait! I get it now!” Well, the only better feeling is if a student gets it and also magically has a cupcake in hand that they’re willing to share.

Elaine’s approach to teaching is two-fold. She helps students learn to master essential quant/verbal concepts AND master their fear/test stress/whatever that might be impeding their progress. Students leave Elaine’s classes or tutoring sessions feeling proud of what they’ve been able to accomplish. And remarkably, they manage to have some fun too! You’ll see.

As for her “other” life, Elaine has worked as an actor, so you’ll sometimes see her on TV. She also continues to work as a television writer, so you’ll sometimes see her name in the credits. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their dog-child, Bug.
